On The Day Carl Sagan Died ,

Assorted TV news reports. Short features. Recorded in the hours immediately following his death on December 20th 1996.also in here added
Carl Sagan gave his last interview with Charlie rose on May 27th 1996. He discussed pseudo-science, religion, unfounded claims, his personal love affair with science and his struggle with myelodysplasia as well as other elements of his last book: The Demon-Haunted World.

I thought it was important that a high quality copy of this interview, with proper audio video sync, was made available on youtube.

The Demon-Haunted World changed my life in ways more profound than I thought possible. That book, and the name of Carl Sagan, should be known to every high school graduate.

"Better the hard truth, I say, than the comforting fantasy. And in the final tolling it often turns out that the facts are more comforting than the fantasy."

A long dreamless sleep... its a hard pill to swallow but it is the absolute truth. taking this view and accepting it is something most people cannot grasp. most people are caught up with there busy complex lives and therefore fail to fathem the enormity of whats going on. Humans feel like they are owed something when they die. The journey is the reward. and everything is beautiful, death, life, pain, struggle, success, love, hate, sorrow. we are the universe acknowledging itself and that is grand 24,He wouldn't have lived long enough to give this interview had science not advanced so much in the years preceding it. That's what he was saying.
